IDW is an ENERGY STAR® partner and committed to compliance to NRCAN and the California Energy Commission requirements. We are focusing our efforts on technologies that will far exceed those standards.

In partnership with our suppliers, IDW has eliminated HFC from the foam insulation of virtually all of our new refrigerated coolers. The less HFC used, the fewer the emissions and harmful waste produced during the manufacturing and disposal process.

IDW no longer uses ozone-depleting chemicals found in cleaning solvents or refrigerant systems containing chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as required by the US Clean Air Act of 1990. Our efforts to this end provide our customers with products that have a reduced environmental impact.

Consistent with this commitment, IDW is actively working with our supplier partners to explore the commercial application of alternative refrigerants, lighting systems and energy saving technologies. We anticipate commercializing a line of cost effective CO2 based commercial refrigerators by 2012.
